Sue Solnok

1. Favorite hobby?  I love spinning angora fiber into yarn and making garments for friends, family, and especially knitting for babies.
2. If you could be any car in the world which one would you be?  I’m kind of a simple person so that would have to be a VW Beetle (new model).
3. Favorite cartoon character as a kid (or now) Speed Racer and Mrs. Jetson, and Wilma from the Flintstones.
4. Favorite worship song? Wow, that’s so hard because all worship songs are my favorite, seriously.
5. Favorite secular song?  I enjoy such a wide variety of music, but I think my favorite would be from celtic music, but not one particular song.
6. Last song you downloaded?  None…Ron does that for me (I’m really enjoying Third Day right now).
7. Favorite movie?  Oh my, that’s a super hard question.  August Rush and Amazing Grace were my favorites last year, oh and The Lord of the Rings series before that, and we can’t forget, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe!   Favorite movie…come on!
8. Coke or Pepsi?  Root Beer, how’s that for having to be different <smile>!
9. Favorite dessert?  Fruit cobbler with vanilla ice cream.
10. Favorite breakfast cereal?  Irish Oats or Ron’s recipe for Cream of Wheat.
11. What is your dream vacation? Renting a home in a new area (such as Tuscany, France, Ireland, Scotland, a house at the beach) for about a month.  I don’t like to do the usual “touristy” type of vacations.  I want to learn about how the people live in other areas, where do they shop for their food, what do they eat, what is important to them, etc…I think I would have been a great missionary!
12. Morning person or night person? Absolutely a morning person.
13. Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?  Dark chocolate.
14. Favorite exercise (or not!)? Walking and swimming.
15. If you could stay one age, what would it be and why?  I have enjoyed getting older, being confident of who I am in the Lord, my purpose in this life, and loving the people He has placed in my life.  So…the perfect age for me started somewhere in my 40’s.
16. Motto or favorite phrase?  I think what Paul said…I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. (1 Corinthians. 9:22b)
17. Hidden talent? I don’t know if it’s hidden since I’ve stepped up to teach in the Olympian Program, but I love to teach & I am fiercely passionate about teaching little ones about God’s wonderful creation and about His love for each of them.
18. Secret phobia (ok, I guess it’s not a secret any more)?  Hmmm…forgetting my lines right before I go on stage (I still have dreams about not knowing my lines from plays when I was 18).
19. Your favorite toy as a kid?  My plastic horses (I collected them).
20. Favorite Bible verse?  Again that’s so hard…but Paul speaks to me a great deal…so this is one I love, ”Therefore my dear brothers (and sisters) stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
